Natural Dyes. Class 2 of Dye Series. Nov. 14th 10.30am
This is an introduction to using natural Dyes. We will be experimenting with dried plants and flowers on wool and cotton. This class takes place on Herbert Road in Bray on Tues 14th Nov at @10.30am to 1.30pm

Some materials will be provided but you are encouraged to bring fabrics etc of your own.
You will need a saucepan, preferably old and not used for food. Natural Dyes react to different metals so any sort of saucepan will do and it will be interesting to see the effects of a copper pot versus an enamel one.
I have been collecting flower petals and other organic materials all summer but the more the merrier so if you are able to collect any of the following and dry them out above a fire or in an airing cupboard ahead of time it will be great. Gorse flowers, nettles, eucylptus leaves, ivy leaves, marigolds, dandelions, onions.
