Soft Pastel Class -  Birds in flight

With Fiona Ní Ghliasáin

Thursday evenings 6th & 13th of October  7pm-9pm

This is the third in a series of two week courses, that will look at different aspects of drawing nature and wildlife. The classes are designed to allow you to dip into sections that will help your art practice grow and gradually build up your skill as you go along. The classes are run in a relaxed manner, offering guidance along the way to help you develop at your own speed. These classes are guided online classes and are not recorded.

This two week course will focus on Birds wings. Sketching several types of larger birds with their wings outstretched in several poses and creating undergrowth. Looking at tones of colours, to create perspective and shadows. With the second week working on completing a detailed picture of a bird in flight.

Materails list:

A set of good quality Soft Pastels. 12-24 colours. Fabre Castel are good for blending while Conte are great for detailed work. The more colours you have the greater amount of tones you can create.
